The EPOMAKER RT85 mechanical keyboard has quickly become one of my favorite keyboards with it’s smooth and retro-inspired vibe, and is super fun to type on. However, as I started using it more I started notice a little quirk: the screen clock was running about 10 minutes fast. At first I tried reconnecting the keyboard using the cable, which usually automatically updates the time and date settings, but nothing happened.

After some research, I found a solution by downloading the Epomaker Driver 3.0. This is the official software that lets you customize your RT85 and sync the screen clock. You can download it directly from Epomaker:

What is Epomaker Driver 3.0?

Epomaker Driver 3.0 is the official software companion for the RT85 (and many other Epomaker keyboards). It lets you fully customize your keyboard and screen, plus control features that make your RT85 feel truly personal.

Key Remapping & Macros: Assign shortcuts or commands to any key.
RGB Lighting Control: Adjust colors, brightness, per-key effects, and animations. .
Profiles: Save multiple setups for work, gaming, or creative projects.

How It Helped Me

Once I downloaded and ran Epomaker Driver 3.0 on my computer, I was able to finally sync the screen clock with my system time. The software also made exploring RGB options and creating macros easy. While there might still be a possibility for the screen clock to still drift slightly over time, due to probably a small firmware limitation, at least I now have a way to manage it.

Don't be shocked if the app opens up in Chinese. Just Move over to the top left and select English.
