Usually, I am not much of a not usually a full-size keyboard kind of person and lean towards 75% or 65% layouts for the space-saving convenience. But if you’ve read my previous review on the Epomaker TH99 mechanical keyboard, you might know how much I have come to enjoy typing on a 1800 (96%) layout. You can check out the review below if you've missed it.
Recently, thanks again to Epomaker, I've had the chance try another full sized keyboard, the Epomaker Galaxy100 in Grey with Wisteria Linear switches, and I have to say… I didn’t expect to enjoy a full-sized board this much, but the Galaxy100 really surprised me in the best way possible. To put it into perspective, if the Epomaker TH99 is like your reliable commuter car, then the Epomaker Galaxy100 is like the luxury ride you take out when you want a fuller experience.
Unboxing the Epomaker Galaxy100
The moment I opened the box, I could tell this was a premium experience. The Epomaker Galaxy100 comes securely packed in a sturdy box with custom foam to protect that solid aluminum case. Instead of just the box, it comes with a sleeve which you slide off, and then open the box. Just like the Epomaker TH99, the design on the box is very aesthetic and such a treat for the eyes.
Inside the box, you’ll find:
- Galaxy100 keyboard (Grey version with Wisteria switches)
- USB-C cable
- 2.4GHz wireless dongle
- Keycap & Switch puller
- Extra set of switches
- Spare keycaps for layout options
- Quick start manual
Everything was neatly arranged, and thoughtfully packed which made the the unboxing feel just as high-quality as the board itself. It’s always a great sign when a brand pays attention to packaging; it shows pride in their product. However, it would have been nice if it came with a dustcover, and perhaps a storage space for the wireless dongle.
Build Quality, Sound, and Typing Feel
The Epomaker Galaxy100 is built with a CNC aluminum shell, which gives it a premium feel the moment you lay your hands on it. The gasket-mount structure combined with layers of Poron foam, IXPE, PET sheet, and bottom foam results in some of the softest, deepest thocks I’ve heard straight out of the box.
Typing on the Wisteria Linear switches is a really such a dream: they’re smooth, quiet, and consistent. Compared to the Flamingo Linear switches on my Epomaker TH99, the Wisterias feel more polished and forgiving.
One thing I really appreciate about the Epomaker Galaxy100 is the RGB. This keyboard comes with 19 vibrant lighting modes that range from chill breathing effects to full-on rainbow waves (even something along the lines of sweet pastels). The south-facing LEDs really help the lighting shine evenly from a user’s perspective, giving it that clean, pretty glow.
That said, as pretty as all the RGB effects are, I usually keep them turned off. Personally, I find them a too distracting when I’m trying to focus, especially during work. But when I’m in the mood for a little desk flair or just want to enjoy the keyboard’s full personality, I’ll turn them back on, and it instantly brings a little joy to my setup!

Epomaker Wisteria Linear Switches
This was my first time using Epomaker’s Wisteria Linear switches, and I’ll admit that they surprised me in the best way. They feel smooth and refined, with just enough bounce to make typing feel fun.- Type: Linear
- Actuation Force: 45g
- Pre-travel: 2.0mm
- Total Travel: 3.6mm
- Materials: POM stem, PC top housing, Nylon bottom
- Sound Profile: Soft and low-pitched with a gentle thock without being too loud
- Factory Lubed: Yes
They've got a totally different vibe from the Flamingo Linear switches I previously tried on the Epomaker TH99.
While the Flamingo Linear switches are snappy and bold, just like a zesty, tangy candy that gives a satisfying crunch (you know, that “pop” with every keystroke), the Wisteria Linear switches are more like a silky panna cotta; smooth, creamy, and mellow. They glide gently under your fingers, with a soft sound profile that feels almost meditative.

- Programmability VIA and QMK make custom layouts easy.
- Wisteria Linear switches one of my favorites now; pillowy and soft.

💔Not so Much
- No adjustable feet: typing angle is fixed, so you may want a wrist rest for a more comfortable typing experience.
- MDA keycap profile: flatter than Cherry or OEM, and might take getting used to, or you could just swapping them out with your preferred set of keycaps.
Should You Get It?
