Keycap Series: Jan 2026 Artist Featuring KEYMOJI

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started my little keycap artist series. What began as a fun way to share the artisan keycaps I’ve come across and purchased has grown into something that brings me so much joy. I love highlighting creators whose designs speak to me; whether it’s through their creativity, charm, or how they add a bit of personality to my keyboard setup.

I took a hiatus from posting about artists as I found myself going back to my favorites like AnyKey, Jelly Cap, Lolicapspyuyucaps and Raykey. Sometimes, it’s hard not to keep spotlighting the same artists when their work continues to make you smile. They have too many cute creations!

That’s why I’ve decided to revamp my Keycap Artist Series for 2026. I’ll continue featuring artists I love and have purchased from, while also making room for creators whose designs I genuinely adore and feel excited to share. The heart of the series remains the same: celebrating creativity, personality, and the joy these tiny pieces bring to our keyboards.

So let's start the fresh year with KEYMOJI. I first came across their work while browsing Instagram, and I was immediately drawn to their playful, expressive style. Each piece features a tiny character, whether it’s a screaming marmot, a cute panda, cartoon characters or blushing bunny, quirky frog, sleepy cat, or happy star, encased in a clear, glossy resin that looks just like a little display case.

KEYMOJI's work is full of playful, expressive designs that instantly made me smile. True to their name, their keycaps often carry that same energy you’d expect from emojis or fun little characters you'd want to collect and display. The detail in their work is lovely, and I really appreciate how each piece feels thoughtfully made.

The cool thing to note is that not only does KEYMOJI have artisan keycaps, they also have themed keycap sets.

One thing I also really value is that their keycaps are reasonably priced. The artisan keycaps are priced at US$19 each, while the keycap sets typically around US$35–45 (roughly S$47–61). This makes them a lot more accessible than some other artisan keycaps out there. Depending on your location shipping could be free or priced reasonably too.

I had to privilege to join and win the Screaming Marmot artisan keycap in one of the contests they had sometime back.

Unboxing Experience

The first thing that stood out was the packaging. The keycap arrived safely and neatly packed, which always gives me peace of mind when receiving artisan pieces. No unnecessary fuss, just thoughtful protection that ensures the keycap arrives in perfect condition.

What makes this unboxing especially delightful is that the Screaming Marmot comes encased in its own transparent display casing. Instead of needing to immediately mount it on a keyboard or find a separate display stand, the casing itself is the display. It feels like opening a tiny collectible rather than just a keycap, and I really love that extra touch.

Once you take a closer look, the details truly shine. The marmot’s iconic screaming expression is captured so well: it is so full of personality, humor, and charm. From the shape of the mouth mid-scream and the tiny details, everything feels intentional and carefully crafted. The sculpting is clean and neat, making the character even more adorable from every angle.

Overall, unboxing the Screaming Marmot artisan keycap was a genuinely fun and heartwarming experience. If you enjoy character-driven designs, cute details, and display-worthy artisans, this little screaming marmot is definitely one to look out for.

As always, I love sharing pieces I genuinely enjoy, and this one has earned a special spot in my collection.
