If you have been following MyGamingDiaries for a while, you would have probably seen quite a few of my little video edits. I love taking photos and clips of things I like and turning them into short videos for TikTok and Instagram.
After making so many of these edits, I started thinking that some of them could actually be fun for other people to use too. So I have started turning some of my existing edits into CapCut templates with the simple idea of sharing an edit I enjoyed making, and you can swap in your own photos and clips and make it yours.
My Keycaps are Just the Starting Point
My first templates naturally feature things I already have around me, so you will probably see familiar artisan keycaps in the previews.
Your version could be a stationery haul, a collectible, a new gadget, a little package or anything else you want to show off.
That's actually one of the things I'm most curious about. I know what my edit looks like with my keycaps, but I want to see what it looks like with yours!
A Little Bit Of My Editing Style
I naturally gravitate towards cute, cosy and fairly simple edits with little reveals, close-up shots, soft transitions and effects that add personality without making everything feel too busy.
Sugar Cute is playful, with a heart-opening effect, while Butterfly Flutter has a slower, softer feel. I also have unboxing-style edits for those little packages that are just too exciting not to film.
They don't all look the same, but I want them to have that little bit of MyGamingDiaries feeling.
Why Share Them?
I like the idea that an edit I made for one of my own videos can become the starting point for someone else's. And it also gives some of my existing videos a second life. Instead of making completely separate content for CapCut, I can take videos I've already posted and turn the editing into something other people can play around with. Additionally, I'm curious to see what you will do with them.
Will my cute keycap unboxing become a stationery haul? A new game? A plushie? Something completely unexpected? That's the fun part.
